Yvonne M. "Bird" Hershey

Yvonne M. “Bird” Hershey, 63, of Manheim, and formerly of York, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Born in York, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Deloris Sipe Walker. Bird was the loving wife of Dean J. Hershey and they observed their fourth wedding anniversary this month. For many years she worked as a self-employed domestic cleaning person. Yvonne attended Lake View Bible Church in Manheim. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, and canning. She also enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Amy Leland of York, Katina wife of Colby Evans of Myrtle Beach, SC., a son, Darius “Jake” Seiple fiancé of Joy Farley of Hellam, ten grandchildren, one great granddaughter, two brothers: John husband of Deb Walker of East Berlin, Lynn “Bud” husband of Penny Walker of York, and a sister, Audrey wife of Donnie Brodbeck of Lewisberry.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bird’s memorial service at Lake View Bible Church, 383 Lake View Drive, Manheim, on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 6:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday evening from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
