William M. Muth Jr., 93, of Manheim, and formerly of Myerstown, died peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late William M. Sr. and Vida Blettner Muth. Bill was the loving husband of the late Jo Zook Muth who died in June of 2014. For over 34 years Bill worked as a service engineer for Case New Holland. Bill served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a faithful member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren and enjoyed traveling throughout the years. Bill had a deep passion for life and during his last four years Bill embraced activities with his children and grandchildren experiencing: skydiving, zip lining, fishing trip to Canada, hot air ballooning, and go kart racing.
Surviving is a son, W. Michael husband of Patricia Muth of Johnson Lake, NE., two daughters; Debra L. wife of Robert Stoner of Holiday, FL., Jennifer S. Muth of Enola, two grandchildren: William Muth, Shelby Thieszen, and five great grandchildren. Preceding him in death is a brother, David Muth and a sister, Margaret Walter.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bill’s funeral service in the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family in Hoffer Auditorium on Saturday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Middle Creek Brethren Cemetery.
