William E. “Bill” Shenberger, 94, of Manheim passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in York, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary Rittenhouse Shenberger. He was the loving husband of Nancy A. Miller Shenberger and they celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary in September. Bill retired as a salesman for The Yegen Company in New Jersey. He proudly served as a Merchant Marine during WW II and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Manheim. Bill was also a member of White Rose Lodge #706 F&AM, York, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg Consistory and he dedicated fifty years of service for Noble of the Mystic Shrine. His interests included, golfing, dancing and traveling.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Antonia wife of Paul Slonaker of York, two grandchildren, Sarah and Joseph, one great granddaughter, Riley and a brother, Vernon husband of Betty Shenberger of York. He was preceded in death by a brother, George Shenberger and a sister, Alverta Sipes.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 48 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
