Wilbur S. Good, 80, of Lancaster, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 24, 2014. Born in Conoy Township, he was the son of the late Martin S. and Mary Stoner Good. Wilbur was the loving husband of Evelyn I. “Evie” Keener Good and they would have observed their 57th wedding anniversary in April of this year. Wilbur retired from John Cope’s Food Products Incorporated, Rheems; previously he was employed at the Whitmoyer Auto Group, Mount Joy, and Fry’s Garage, Lititz. For over 47 years Wilbur assisted his wife with the Evelyn and Wilbur Children’s Group Day Care, Lancaster. He was an active and faithful member of Kauffman’s Mennonite Church, Manheim. Wilbur’s interests included: vegetable gardening, reading, wood working where he made benches, bird feeders, and bird houses.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, J. Nelson husband of Leona A. Shirk Good of Lancaster, and a sister, Elva Charles, of Washington Boro.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Kauffman’s Mennonite Church 1355 Lancaster Road, Manheim, on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
