Wilbur N. Neff, 86, of Lititz, shared a wonderful day with his family before he passed away at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy on November 26, 2015. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Daniel Lloyd and Alice (Cochran) Neff and would have celebrated his 87th birthday on November 28th. He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, the late Doris (Shelley) Neff, who passed away in 1993.
A graduate of Lititz High School and Lancaster Business College, he was a Corporal in the U. S. Army during the the Korean Conflict.
Wilbur worked at the DL Neff garage prior to his career as a salesman and General Sales Manager of the appliance department for 33 years at the Raub Supply Company in Lancaster. He retired in 1996 from Luckenbach & Johnson Distributors in Kutztown, where he enjoyed working as the District Sales Manager.
He was a member and former Trustee of the Lititz Moravian Congregation and a Charter Member and past President of the Lititz Ambucs. He was a member of the Lititz VFW Post 1463 and Lititz American Legion Garden Spot Post 56.
Wilbur enjoyed being outdoors and spent time birdwatching, fishing, golfing and playing tennis. He was an avid bridge and domino player and liked being with friends and his partner, Marilyn Frandsen of Lancaster. A loving father and grandfather, he attended many dance recitals and sporting events and shared with his family how proud he was of their accomplishments.
He is survived by his sons, David Neff, husband of Laura, Ephrata; Philip Neff, husband of Teresa, Lancaster; grandchildren, Megan Thompson, wife of Mark, Ephrata; Dana Neff, Westminster, MD; Katie Neff, Jacksonville, FL; Dan Neff, Lancaster; Brian Neff, Ephrata and a great grandson, Aiden Thompson.
In addition to his first wife, he is preceeded in death by his second wife, Pauline (Stoltzfus) Neff, a brother, Melvin Neff and a sister Doris Hammer.

Family and friends are invited to the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, on Tuesday, December 1st to visit with Wilbur’s family from 11 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m., with Reverend Dean Jurgen officiating. A private burial with Military Honors will be held in the Lititz Moravian Cemetery.
