W. Thomas Hagy

December 22, 1944 — April 20, 2025

Manheim

Tom Hagy of Rapho Township passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Lititz, he was the son of the late Floyd S. and Thelma J. Wenger Hagy. He loved his wife, Deb Hagy, and they would have observed their 37th wedding anniversary this June.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Deb, are two daughters, Kerrie Ocasio (Jose) of Pittstown, NJ., Amanda Chapman (Dana) of Virginia Beach, VA, two granddaughters, Elena Ocasio and Sami Chapman, a brother, Andy Hagy of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and two sisters, Christine Sheppard and Constance Foster, both of Lititz.

Tom was a gentle, kind, quiet man who enjoyed birdwatching, sudoku’s and reading. He had a strong work ethic that developed from the days of working at his parents’ store, Hagy’s Western Auto, in Lititz. He worked many years at Progressive Typographers in York, PA as a four-color scanner operator and was quite an accomplished photographer. He could fix anything.

Throughout his life he had a love of racing. In his earlier years, he enjoyed NASCAR but later found his way to Formula One. He would often ask his daughters, “did you see the race?”

He loved his wife, his family, his dogs and cats, and simply, his life.

A celebration of Tom‘s wonderful life will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 1-4:00 at Tom and Deb’s home.
