Thomas H. Houser, 69, of New Holland died Saturday, August 4, 2012. Born in Hopewell, Virginia, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Mary Lee Thrift Houser. Thomas Houser, tenor, is internationally recognized as one of the world's finest master teachers of singing. Dr. Houser has studied at the Academia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Goddard College, Norwich University, and Fairfax University, where he earned his Ph.D. Thomas was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church of New Holland. Surviving are two sisters-in-law: Connie G. Houser of Hopewell, VA., Mary Jo M. Houser of National Park, N.J., three nieces: Lucy R. wife of Shawn McKenna of Lititz, Monica L. Houser of West Deptford, N.J., Kellie E. Houser of National Park, N.J., a nephew, Chad F. husband of Libertad Houser of Crew, VA., two grandnieces: Elizabeth McKenna and Sarah Houser, two grandnephews: Henry and Oscar Houser. Preceding him in death are two brothers: Kenneth E. and Wiley F. Houser, and a nephew Todd W. Houser. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a service of remembrance at the Evangelical United Methodist Church 276 West Main Street, New Holland, PA on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will greet friends following the service of remembrance on Saturday afternoon at the church.
