Thomas D. "Tom" Cantrell, 63, of Manheim passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Pound, Virginia, he was the son of the late Winfred and E. Ramona Sutphin Cantrell. Tom was the loving husband of Kathy Fuhrman Cantrell and they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in February of this year. He was owner and operator of Cantrell's Styling Salon, Manheim for thirty seven years. Tom graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1966. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim and the Manheim Sportsman's Association. Tom enjoyed hunting and he was an avid baseball fan; especially the New York Yankees. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Todd husband of Jennifer Cantrell of Willow Grove, two grandchildren, Tyler and Maggie Cantrell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Cantrell and son, Cary Cantrell. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at Salem United Methodist Church, 140 North Penn Street, Manheim on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Melinda L. McKonly officiating. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be no viewing on Saturday. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday afternoon immediately following the service. Please omit flowers.
