Theodore L. “Ted” Fink, 83, of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Penn Township, he was the son of the late Robert and Frances Mellinger Fink. Ted was the loving husband of the late Nadene Myers Fink who died in January of 1998. For over 35 years Ted was employed at the former Raymark Industries, Manheim. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant and tank commander. Ted was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. He was a passionate outdoorsman enjoying: hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and traveling to a favorite hunting cabin with his childhood friend Melvin Gainer for many years. Ted was a member of the Elstonville Sportsmen’s Association. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on many afternoon rides with his friend Denny or joining his buddies at the local diner in Manheim for his daily breakfast. Ted has missed his dog, a spitz, named Daisy, which was a companion for him throughout the years.
Surviving are three daughters: Celeste K. wife of Carl Eshelman of Akron, Thoresa K. wife of Jerald Witkosky of Manheim, Robin K. Boaman of Lancaster, three grandchildren, a brother, Gary Fink of Blue Ball, four sisters: Phyllis wife of Robert Ficthorn of Manheim, Denise wife of Greg Shiner of Manheim, Gloria wife of Melvin Lehman of Lancaster, and Donna wife of Rod Flemming of Lancaster. Preceding him in death is a sister: Janet Harrington.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ted’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
