Thelma M. Zimmerman

   Thelma M. Zimmerman, 82, of Lititz, entered peacefully into the presence of Jesus her Savior on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at UPMC Hospital, Lititz. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Erb Good. Thelma was the loving wife of Lester L. Zimmerman and they would have observed their 63rd wedding anniversary in September of this year. As a pastor’s wife, Thelma assisted Lester with his ministry throughout the years. She was a faithful and active member of Erb Mennonite Church, Lititz, where she served as Sunday school teacher and was active with Sewing Circle. She enjoyed playing board games, doing word puzzles, and hosting family gatherings. Thelma had a deep and abiding passion for her family. She cherished all the time she could spend with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was being surrounded by the family she loved.

  Surviving in addition to her husband Lester, is a son, Michael S., husband of Marlene Zimmerman of Lititz, three daughters: Cheryl, wife of Terry Gingrich of Lititz, Krista, wife of Jesse Long of Annville, Brenda, wife of Josh Yunginger of Schaefferstown, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three sisters: Henrietta, wife of Leon Shirk of New Holland, Carolyn, wife of Allen Glick, of McAlisterville, Charlotte, wife of Dale Hoover of Lebanon. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Lisa Dawn Zimmerman.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Thelma’s funeral service at the Erb Mennonite Church, 567 West Lexington Road, Lititz, on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
