Thelma V. Miller, 77, formerly of Huntingdon County, PA., died peacefully on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center in Millsboro, Del.
Born in East Earl, she was the daughter of the late Aaron S. and Sarah Groff Good. Thelma worked in the receiving department for the Ames Department Store in Huntingdon. An accomplished poet, Thelma published a book, Poetry of Quiet Moments, of inspirational poems during her life. Thelma was well loved by everyone she came in contact with and would help with children and senior citizens that lived in the neighborhood where she resided.
Surviving is a daughter, Donna J. wife of John E. Emswiler Jr. of Bainbridge, a granddaughter, Nicole wife of Samuel E. Eshelman of Willow Street, two brothers: George and Mervin Good of New Holland. Preceding her in death is a son, Galen R. Miller, a sister, Mable White and two brothers, Lester and Harlan Good.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Interment is in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Thursday evening, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, with additional viewing time on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
