Theda A. Neff, age 94, of Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, PA went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 14, 2024. She celebrated 54 years of marriage with her husband, Mervin D. Neff at the time of his passing in Dec, 2002.
Born in East Petersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mahlon and Edna Gerlach Kreider. She graduated from Hempfield High School.
Theda retired from S. Clyde Weaver in 2000 where she worked for 30 years. Previously she helped her husband in farming. She was a member of Neffsville Mennonite Church and in earlier years, she sang in the choir and taught the children in Sunday School. She loved music, reading, and attending her grandchildren’s sports and church activities. Theda volunteered at the reception desk and the gift shop at Pleasant View.
Theda was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother, known for her generous spirit of love and kindness that she extended to those around her. She is survived by 3 sons, Carl, husband of Bobbi Hainey, Robert, husband of Brenda Sweigart Neff, Kent, husband of Nancy Faust Neff and two daughters, Linda, wife of John D. Wenzel, Jr., Nancy, wife of Woody Snavely; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Jean Musser.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by grandson Jonathan David Neff, great grandson Owen Snavely, her brother J. Floyd Kreider and her sister Ruth Ann Hurst.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Theda’s memory may be made to Pleasant View Endowment Care Fund, 544 North Penryn Rd., Manheim, PA 17545.
