Steven William Perich, 64, of Manheim, died Tuesday morning, June 19, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy, following a brief illness.
Born in Lancaster on March 2, 1954, he was the son of Helen L. and the late Steve Perich.
Steve was a 1972 graduate of Warwick High School. He had an associate’s degree from Penn State University in business management. He was a senior financial analyst in the Facility’s Planning and Construction Department for Hershey Medical Center until his retirement in October of 2017. Since his retirement, he took time every single day to be with his mother until he was no longer able due to his illness.
Steve was a member of the Fruitville Pike Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lititz.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters; Elizabeth, wife of Carlo Cortese of Johnstown; Katherine Perich, fiancée of Brandon Ross, of Harrisburg; two sisters, Cynthia Buckingham of Hellam, Diane Green, wife of Thomas Green of Elizabethtown; a brother, Daniel, husband of Diana Perich of Lititz.
Salt or fresh water, Steve loved fishing. He also enjoyed photography and painting.
The family would like to express their thanks for the care Steve received at Hospice. In addition, we want to thank family, friends and workmates who took time to see Steve. It was a great help to him in coping with his illness. Many visitors mentioned how they were encouraged by his faith and courage during this time.
A memorial service for Steve will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses; 921 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. All are welcome to attend.
