Shirley M. Durdock

Shirley M. Durdock, 87, of Manheim entered into rest on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Pleasant View Retirement Community. Born November 9, 1927 in Elysburg, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Della Small John. She was the loving wife of Frank S. Durdock and they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in July. Shirley attended Ralpho Township High School and State Beauty School in Williamsport. She worked at several beauty shops in the Shamokin area. Later she moved to Manheim and worked at RCA and Fenner Drives, retiring in 1990. Shirley was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim, Daughters of Zion Class and Manheim Historical Society. Her interests included gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Dale husband of Kendra Durdock of Paxtang, Gary Durdock of Chaptico, Maryland, Scott husband of Sandra Durdock of Manheim, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township.
