Sara E. Shannon

Sara E. (Campbell) Shannon, 91, formerly of York, died peacefully Sunday February 28, 2010 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. Born in Marietta on March 5, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Annie Katie (Rutherford) Campbell. She was the wife of the late Carl A. Shannon and the late Charles E. Kraybill. She was the last of 10 children, preceded in death by two brothers and seven sisters.
Sara was retired from the PA Dept. of Transportation in Harrisburg. She took pride in her stylish appearance, enjoyed singing, and listening to music, especially Frank Sinatra.
Surviving are four children, C. Frederick Kraybill of Marblehead MA, Gary E. Kraybill of York, Ann Gonzalez of York, Michael D. Kraybill of Lemoyne; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service at Manheim Fairview Cemetery on Saturday March 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gary S. George officiating.
