Sandra K. Lauchman

Sandra Kay Lauchman, of Thomasville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, embraced by her loving family on August 5, 2024. Born on November 19, 1962, she was a daughter of Jane Thomas and the late Larry Lauchman. Sandy spent her life surrounded by those she loved, including her loving and faithful partner Mark Fitzkee; her mother, Jane Thomas; her sisters, Sharon Daniels and Barb Jenkins (Brian); her granddaughter, Chris Krone (Danielle Wolfe); her brother, Jeff Bloodworth (Norma) and her cherished fur baby, Buttercup; along with a lot of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Lauchman and her long-time companion James Krone.

 Her family lived in Smyrna, DE where Sandy attended school until her junior year. While in Smyrna, she also attended the Smyrna Church of the Nazarene and the Smyrna Wesleyan Church. During this time she made many life-long friends.

 Sandy held several jobs in the York area including restoration services, Genie Electronics, Turkey Hill and Dollar General. Sandy enjoyed working and being part of a team.

 Sandy was known for her love of spending quality time with family and friends, which was the cornerstone of her life. She found joy in simple pleasures like playing games, crocheting, fishing, playing with and laughing at the antics of her cat, Buttercup, taking day trips and exploring new places. These hobbies we not just pastimes, but a way for her to connect with those she held dear, creating lasting memories.

 Her presence will be missed by all who knew her. Sandy’s life was a testament to the bonds of family and friendship, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.

 A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 7th from 1-5 pm at St. John’s Church at New Chester, 2243 Hunterstown-Hampton Rd., New Oxford, PA 17350.
