Sandra L. Krall

     Sandra Lynn Krall (Hohenwarter) of Landisville, formally of Lebanon, died peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 with family by her side at Hershey Medical Hospital. Beloved wife, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend; Sandra ended her 48-year battle with cancer. No matter what she was going through, Sandra was determined to live her life the best she could through her faith, strength, determination, stubbornness and her sense of humor. We never heard her complain. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Hohenwarter, brother Barry Hohenwarter and wife, Vicki, all of Landisville, sister-in-law, Lori Hohenwarter of Manheim, her nephews, Michael Hohenwarter of Manheim and Steven Hohenwarter of Mount Joy, and her great niece Maeve Hohenwarter of Mount Joy. Preceding her in death, Barry Krall (husband), Charles Hohenwarter (father), Mark Hohenwarter (brother) and Donna Hohenwarter (sister). Born on June 26, 1956, Sandra was the oldest child in her family. She graduated from Hempfield High School in 1975. She put herself through nursing school to become a register nurse. She was employed by the state at Warrensville State Hospital. In her married years, Barry and Sandra enjoyed having her nephews over, going to dinner theaters and traveling. Sandra was her husband’s caregiver through his illness until she no longer was able due to her own illness. Sandra enjoyed the family get-togethers, especially when she got to tease her younger siblings. Sandra loved hearts and used them whenever she could in her decorating. She also collected dolls. Visitation with family from 10:30 am to 11:00 am and the service at 11:00 am with Dana Statler officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
