Sandra K. "Sandy" Pennell

Sandra K. “Sandy” Pennell, 77, of Lititz, died peacefully, Monday, August 24, 2020, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. She was the loving wife of Leon D. Pennell, and they celebrated 54 years of marriage in June. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Bruce) Keller. Sandy was employed at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren Nursery School for many years and was known as the “Snack Lady”. She was a graduate of Warwick High School, class of 1961. Sandy was a member of Lititz Church of the Brethren where she was a former choir member and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.

Surviving in addition to her husband Leon is a son Mark L. Pennell; a daughter Susan Harsh, both of Lititz; two granddaughters Emily Timko, and Katelin wife of Christopher Herr; two great granddaughters Charlotte and Abigail Herr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by infant sister Sueann; and two brothers, Robert and Dr. Jon “Mike” Keller.
