Samuel S. “Sam” Keefer, 74, of Manheim passed away at home under the care of his daughter on Saturday, December 8, 2018. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Lester and Lois McCulloh Keefer. Sam retired as an electrician for Armstrong World Industries, Marietta. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. A train enthusiast, Sam enjoyed his dog, Charlie and he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving are three children, Michael Keefer (Amy) of Maytown, David Keefer of New Jersey and Melissa Nye (William) of Maytown, four grandchildren: Amanda, Aubrey, Sable and Stephen, two brothers, Jim Keefer (Sylvia) of Elizabethtown, Lester Keefer (Nancy) of New Providence and two sisters, Inez Tomlinson of Manheim and Rosemary Keefer (Sam) of Reading. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Fackler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his graveside service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 12:30 PM. There will be a viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square Manheim on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and again on Monday morning at the funeral home from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
