Samuel H. "Sam" Schlee

Samuel H. “Sam” Schlee, 67, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Lancashire Hall, Lancaster. Born in Danville, Sam was the son of the late Samuel F. and Mary Herman Schlee. In his earlier years, Sam worked for the Danville State Hospital. An avid coin collector, Sam enjoyed learning about history, especially the WWII era. He was also an enthusiastic story teller and enjoyed sharing a good tale with company. Sam was a dear friend and admirer of his late Aunt Claraline Baylor and spent many of his last years in her company.
Sam is survived by five cousins, Lewis Baylor, Valerie Modell, and Brian, Scott and James Bowen. Sam was preceded in death by his brother, David J. Schlee.

A graveside service will be held at Shiloh Reformed Cemetery, Bloom Road, Danville, PA on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
