Samuel E. Parks, 80, of North Main Street Manheim, died peacefully Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Columbia. Born in Blairs Mills, he was the son of the late Dolph and Clarice Diven Parks. Sam was employed for over forty years at the former Raymark Industries Manheim. He was the husband of the late Geraldine Kipp Parks who died in December of 2008. Sam enjoyed the outdoors; he and his wife visited the Middle Creek Wildlife area, and would take many trips to their cabin located in the Pennsylvania Mountains. Sam had a passion for Sprint Car Racing and would travel to many races throughout the summer months over the years.
Surviving is a son, Samuel E. Jr. husband of Paige Gibble Parks of Manheim, two brothers: Ralph and Glenn Parks, three sisters: Pauline Hetrick, Betty Reisinger, and Lucy Scott. Preceding him in death is a son, Terry L. Parks, and three brothers: Stanley, Raymond, and John Parks.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment is in Chiques Church Of The Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township. Please omit flowers.
