   Ruth W. Todd, 77, of Manheim, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Ruth began her journey on October 10, 1947 in the Strasburg area as the daughter of the late Charles E. and Susie Weaver Good. She married the love of her life, Jay L. Todd, in 1968, enjoying over 56 years together.

  For over fifty years Ruth was an active and faithful member of East Petersburg Mennonite Church. She was employed by East Petersburg Mennonite Church as a Pastoral Care Minister, where she showed deep compassion to others. Ruth served as coordinator of the Stephen Ministry program, coached Bible Quizzing, and taught Sunday School for years. She was also employed in home health care and served as a mentor to single women at Beth Shalom, Lancaster. With her passion for hospitality, she enjoyed hosting many gatherings with beautiful flowers and gourmet food. She especially loved summer strawberry picking, corn days, and beach trips with her family to Rehoboth, DE. She graciously opened her home to students from Korea, Spain, and France. For the past many years, Ruth was an active and faithful member of Ephrata Community Church, where she enjoyed time with her Connect group, and serving as a greeter with her husband.

  Ruth was graced with three daughters: Radella, wife of Linwood Vrolijk of Harrisonburg, VA, Bonita, wife of Brent Keener of Akron, and Valerie, wife of Doug Ehst of Akron. She was blessed by ten grandchildren: Drew Vrolijk, husband of Chafin, Alec Vrolijk, husband of Emerald, Chad Vrolijk, Bryse Vrolijk, Brianna (Keener) Lapp, wife of Nate, Brittany (Keener) Weaver, wife of Jordan, Branson Keener, husband of Cherish, Brock Keener, husband of Karissa, Maya Ehst, and Lydia Ehst. She greatly enjoyed her eight great grandchildren: Draven, Finn, Adalyn, Eliana, Lucia, Henry, Silas, and Oaklynn. Ruth was thankful for her siblings: Glenn Good (Mildred), John Good (Phoebe), Jane Hess (David) Marlin Good ( Barb), Robert Good (Susan), and sister-in-law, Phebe M. Good. Ruth is preceded in death by her brother, Donald W. Good.

  Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ruth’s Celebration of Life Service at Ephrata Community Church, 70 Clay School Road, Ephrata, on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
