Ruth S. Bomberger

Ruth S. Bomberger, 94, formerly of Elstonville passed away peacefully at Ephrata Manor on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Ada Bushong Smith. She was the wife of the late Paul D. Bomberger who died in 1996. A Registered Nurse, Ruth retired from the former Mount Hope Dunkard Brethren Home, Manheim as a charge nurse; previously she worked as an RN at Lancaster General Hospital and she was a private duty nurse. She was a graduate of the former Lititz High School and Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing. Ruth was a lifelong member of Lititz Moravian Church. She enjoyed collecting stamps, pencils, buttons and salt dips. Surviving are four children, Ronald P. husband of Frances Ann Bomberger of Manheim, Cynthia B. Good of Ephrata, Dwight W. husband of Patricia Graham Bomberger of Manheim and Nancy B. wife of Michael E. Smucker of Lititz, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two brothers, Theodore F. Smith of Virginia, John H. husband of Dixie Smith of Lititz and a sister, Mary Margaret wife of Robert Herzer of Lititz. She was preceded in death by a brother, George E. Smith. Per Ruth's request, funeral services will be private. Interment in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery, Ephrata. Please omit flowers.
