Ruth M. “Grandma Ruth” Good, 102, formerly of Manheim passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Milton L. and Barbara Moseman Neff. She was the wife of the late Ralph B. Good who died in 1999. In her earlier years, Ruth worked at several garment factories. She also worked at several orphanages. Later Ruth took care of her foster parents, Samuel S. and Annie Ginder Wolgemuth for ten years. She also worked at institutions for the mentally retarded.
Ruth retired in 1979 from the former Hamburg State School and Hospital. She was a member of Manheim Brethren In Christ Church where she taught Sunday school and was active with the Friendship Club and the former sewing auxiliary. Her interests included sewing, quilting, reading and vegetable gardening.
Surviving is a daughter, Arlene Adair of Manheim, five grandchildren, Bonnie wife of David Lamb of Woodbridge, VA, Kenneth husband of Nikki Heisey of Cayce, SC, Gregory husband of Janice Adair of Northumberland, Sherri wife of Daniel Pitman of Denver, Melanie Adair of Plainfield, NJ; ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jason Sangrey, sister, Lois M. Erb and three brothers, John M., Paul M. and Mahlon H. Neff.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Manheim Brethren In Christ Church, 54 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Mastersonville Brethren In Christ Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
