Ruth L. Walters, 88, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Mennonite Home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Marguerite Wilson Lawrence. Ruth was the loving wife of the late Elmer W. Walters who died in August of 1986. In her early years she was employed at Lancaster Newspapers. Ruth was a member of the First Church of God, Lancaster. Her interests included: baking, crocheting, board games and bingo.
Surviving is a daughter, Judy A. wife of Charles Kile of New Providence, a daughter-in-law, April wife of Eric Faber of Lancaster, five grandchildren: Laura Kile, Melissa wife of Brian Hoffman, David Kile, Olivia Walters, Amanda Walters, and two great grandchildren: Christian Hoffman and Alison Hoffman. Preceding her in death is a son, James E. Walters, and a brother, Melvin H. Lawrence.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ruth’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz, on Monday,, November 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Long Memorial United Methodist Cemetery, Neffsville.
