Ruth V. "Dolly" Loercher, 92, formerly of 416 Orchard Lane, Manheim, died peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Luther Acres, Lititz. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Maurice E. and Mary Elizabeth Yeager Seiders. Dolly retired from the former Raymark Industries, Manheim, where she was the manager of the Executive Club food service division for the company; previously, she worked as the secretary for the former Brubaker's Dry Cleaning and Clothing Store, Manheim, and in the cafeteria of the former Noggles Garment Factory, Manheim. She was the loving wife of the late Earl B. "Bud" Loercher who died in April of 2002. Dolly was a 1937 graduate of former Manheim High School. She was a faithful and active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim, where she served in the nursery, helped with the Wednesday's luncheon meals to the community, and tended the rose gardens surrounding the church yard. She was an expert seamstress, creating wedding dresses, dress gowns, drapes and curtains. Dolly's interests included: traveling with her husband, flower gardening and shopping. Throughout her life she had a passion for reading, especially mystery novels. Surviving are two sons: Brad E. Loercher of Liverpool, William husband of Patricia Shaeffer Loercher of Manheim, five grandchildren: Jenny, Abby, Amy, Tina, Scott, four great grandsons, a step brother, Joseph Sauters Jr., and a step sister, Rose Marie Sauters. Preceding her in death is a step brother, Lewis J. Williams, and a step sister, Glinda Snyder. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township.
