Roy D. Gibble, 94, of Manheim passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Mount Hope Nazarine Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Mastersonville, he was the son of the late David and Sallie Douple Gibble. Retired in 1985, Roy worked 41 years at Fenner Drives, Manheim. He proudly served in the United States Army during WW II where he received several medals. Roy was a lifetime member of Chiques Church of the Brethren, Manheim and the former Stamp Club, Mount Joy. He was an avid Manheim Central Barons football and wrestling fan. Surviving is a sister, Velma Summerall of Gainesville, Florida, a nephew, Jerry Poff of Storm Lake, Iowa and two nieces, Kim Summerall of Jacksonville, Florida and Debbie wife of Keith Hultgren of Storm Lake, Iowa. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Gibble and a sister, Mildred Poff. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a public viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
