Rosemary G. Christ, 88, formerly of Ronks, died peacefully, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Chester R. Christ who died in 1989. Born in East Lampeter Twp., she was the daughter of the late Warren K. and Lizzie V. (Groff) Sweigart. Rosemary was a well-known self-employed music teacher in Eastern Lancaster County, giving lessons for piano, organ and marimba. She was a graduate of East Lampeter High School class of 1945 and attended the Philadelphia Music Academy. She was a former active member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Paradise where she the organist for over 50 years. Rosemary also played the piano for entertainment on the weekends at the Robert Fulton Inn, Lancaster. She greatly enjoyed socializing with people and cooking.
Surviving is a daughter Sharon wife of Terry S. Boozer of Elizabethtown; 2 step grandsons Mark S., husband of Regina Boozer, Timothy B., husband of Lora Boozer; four great grandchildren Jozlyn and Marcus Boozer, Ellyn and Brooklyn Boozer; and a sister Rhoda E. Shive of Massachusetts.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy, on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 10:30 AM. There will be a public viewing on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Stumptown Mennonite Cemetery, Bird-in-Hand.
