Rose S. Nauman, 93, of Lititz, and formerly of Manheim, peacefully went to be home with the Lord on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the United Zion Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Vivian Constine Schmid. Rose was the loving wife of the late Lester B. Nauman who died in July of 2015 following 59 years of marriage. A homemaker who also helped her husband on the family farm in Rapho Township; Rose also worked in the accounting department for Nolt’s Ponds. She was an active and faithful member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim. Her interests included: sewing, knitting, embroidery, puzzles and bowling. In addition, she was an avid reader. Rose had a deep passion for her family and cherished the times she could spend with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters: Elaine M. wife of Roger Sloat of Manheim, Patricia A. wife of Mark Ihm of Kutztown, Beverly A. wife of Dennis Snavely of Manheim, a son, Thomas E. Nauman of Manheim, eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are a daughter-in-law, Lindsey Nauman, a sister, Agnes Walker, and three brothers: Edward Jr., Charles, and Fred Schmid.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Rose’s Funeral Service at Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Rose’s memory to: United Zion Retirement Community (Benevolent Care) 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
