Ronald L. “Tex” Quesenberry, 73, of Manheim, died peacefully at home on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Born in Jenkinjones, West Virginia, he was the son of the late L. Gilmer Quesenberry and Pauline Billips Quesenberry Ruth. For over 31 years Tex worked in the Shipping and Receiving Department for National Bearings Company, Lancaster. Following retirement he was known locally for his expertise in fixing and selling bicycles; and riding bicycles all through the town of Manheim. Tex was of the Pentecostal Faith. Everyone he met soon became a friend. His interests included: listening to Blue Grass music and Johnny Cash, playing the banjo and guitar, and watching western movies. Everyone knew Tex by his western attire and his sense of humor.
Surviving are three daughters: Donna M. Wolfe of Fredericksburg, Dana L. wife of Kevin Dick of Lancaster, Betty Jo wife of Michael Shenigo of Manheim, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a brother, Henry husband of Sandy Quesenberry of Manheim, three sisters: Linda wife of George Shank, Gilda wife of Chuck Kocevar all of Manheim, and Diane Leonard of Mountville. Preceding him in death is a great granddaughter.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
