Ronald B. “Ron” Yancy, 73, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Joseph Yancy and Jane Walker Yancy Wilson. He was the husband of the late Ann L. Wright-Yancy who died in 2005. Ron worked as a Metallurgical Chemist for twenty years at Lukens Steel Company, and retired from Flex Steel Furniture, Lancaster as an operational manager. He was a member of the Music Box Society International (MBSI), American Historical Juke Box Society, Inc., and Keystone Record Collectors, Lancaster. An avid antique collector, Ron had a passion for music boxes and collecting records.
Surviving is a daughter, Rhonda S. (Dryden) wife of Robert D. Belcher, a son, Eric L. husband of Melissa Yancy both of Fort Worth, TX, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, and loving companion, Ruth N. Secamiglio of Willow Street. He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Kimberly Ann wife of Michael Jones of Cicero, NY and a stepson, Edward A. husband of Patricia Wright of Holtwood.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 216 South Broad Street, Lititz on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM. There will be a public viewing from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment in Millport Mennonite Cemetery, Warwick Township. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Ron’s memory to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
