Romona Miller, 89, of Manheim, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late David E. and Katie Houser Wolf. Romona was the loving wife of the late Harry LeVerne Miller who died in 2012. Her interests included, cooking, baking cookies, trips to the casino, scratching lottery tickets, shopping on Fridays, traveling to the beach for vacations and she loved to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed making peanut butter Easter eggs and Mrs. Miller’s homemade fudge. Generous and kindhearted, Romona would always put others first and tell everyone to be happy.
Surviving are five children: Harry D. husband of M. Jean Funk Miller of Manheim, Ross R. husband of Cheryl Moore Miller of Camp Hill, Katherine E. wife of Thomas Fritz, James L. husband of Dolores Carpenter Miller and Jay D. husband of Lavanda Schaffer Miller all of Manheim; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a sister, Shirley wife of Anthony Schwartz of Lebanon; a brother-in-law, Mervin husband of Vera Miller, two sisters-in-law: Betty Storm and Phoebe Shickley and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by nine brothers: John, Charles, Elmer, Earl, Walter, David, Roy, Raymond and Ronald Wolf and five sisters: Violet Wolf, Jenny Berkheiser, Joyce Berrier, Elaine Lefever and Patricia Knier.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery.
