Robert T. "Bob" Whitcraft

    Robert T. “Bob” Whitcraft, 95, of Lititz, died peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Pleasant View Communities, Manheim. Born in Brickerville, he was the son of the late John and Ida Todd Whitcraft. Bob was the loving husband of Betty I. Strauss Whitcraft and they would have observed their 77th wedding anniversary in February of this year. Bob retired from the Maintenance Department for the City of Lancaster; previously he was an experienced carpenter for Bob Balmer Construction, and Hershey and Lehman all from Lititz. He was an avid hunter, and was a member of the Merry Men’s Hunting Camp in Lycoming County. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and rooting for his favorite driver Jeff Gordan. Bob collected antique tools and was a member of the Midwest Tool Collectors Association. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

   Surviving in addition to his wife Betty, are four daughters: Lyndelle “Lindy” wife of Terry Ober of Elm, Brenda L. Whitcraft, Patricia wife of James Polt, Lori wife of Kevin Faulkner all of Lititz, two Grandsons: Shawn husband of Krista Ober, Matthew Todd husband of Wendy Polt, and two great granddaughters: Lauryn and Jenna Ober. Preceding him in death are four sisters and five brothers.

   Services for Bob will be private and at the convenience of the family.
