Robert E. "Bob" Tucci

May 2, 1948 — January 3, 2025

Lititz

Robert “Bob” Tucci, 76, of Newmanstown, and formerly of Manheim, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, January 3, 2025, while Bob’s favorite artist, John Prine played in the background. Founding Partner of Olde Hickory Refinishing and Founding Partner of Penn Cinema, Bob was born in Port Chester, NY on May 2, 1948 to Maxie and Albert Tucci. Bob was truly dedicated to the love of his life, Bonnie (Sedotti) Tucci, his high school sweetheart, who he often referred to as “the cute checkout girl” that worked with him at Finast supermarket in Port Chester, NY. True soulmates, Bonnie was born on the exact same day as Bob in the same hospital in Port Chester, NY. It was destiny that he and Bonnie would go on to live such a magical life together. Bob graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology where he was also a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

In addition to Bonnie, Bob leaves behind three beautiful children- Aimee Ketchum (husband, Penn) of Lititz, Becky Hill (husband, Mike) of Denver, Jesse Tucci of Ridley Park, and six amazing grandchildren. Bob was the youngest of two boys, he is survived by Albert Tucci of Marana, Arizona. Bob was known to be a kind, gentle, and witty man as well as a gifted woodworker. He created beautiful wood carvings, hand-built furniture, and fourteen wooden kayaks and canoes which were admired every time he took one out for a paddle. His fine woodworking skills benefitted his entire family as he built furniture, decks, remodeled kitchens, and even built a log home for he and Bonnie to live in. Bob loved the outdoors and he was an avid paddler, having canoed or kayaked at least once a month every single month for thirty-five years and seven months. He spent many nights camping with friends in the woods alongside various lakes and waterways enjoying his signature camping drink- Gin & Tang. He also loved to fish, hike, and ride his mountain bike in the woods while identifying every tree, flower, and bird he saw. Bob served on the Penn Township Municipal Authority.

In addition to his Manheim-based business of 30 years, Olde Hickory Refinishing, Bob was also a founding partner of Penn Cinema on Airport Road in Lititz. He was a fixture at the theater and beloved by many Penn Cinema employees over the years. His passion for a clean theater can still be seen on display today despite having retired in 2022.

If you were fortunate enough to spend time with Bob, you'd have learned that he "did a job there" or perhaps you were lucky enough to hear his latest poetry. Whatever the takeaway, he surely made you feel good and you likely shared a smile.

Above all else, Bob loved his family especially his loving wife of 54 years. He was a devoted family man, taking great pride and joy in the lives of his children and grandchildren.

"When I get to heaven I'm gonna shake God's hand. Thank Him for more blessings than one man can stand" -John Prine
