Robert Thomas “Bob” Lefever, 89, of Lititz, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 following a two week illness. He was born November 9, 1925 in Martic Township to Jacob and Katie Thomas Lefever. Bob married Esther Landis Lefever on June 12, 1948 and they enjoyed 66 years together. He was a farmer for 40 years and a member of East Petersburg Mennonite Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Linda married to Robert Alley of Harrisonburg, VA., a son, Willis “Bill” married to Joanne Eberly Fahnestock Lefever of Stevens, six grandchildren: Jonelle Fahnestock, Jadene Fahnestock Henly, Joletta Fahnestock Nebel, Leanne Alley Shank, Linetta A. Ballew, Jonathan Alley, eight great grandchildren, two brothers: Abram Lefever of Lititz, Jacob Lefever of Millersville, and a sister, Ruth Lefever Mellinger of Lititz. Preceding him in death is a sister, Elsie Lefever Sangrey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bob’s memorial service at the East Petersburg Mennonite Church, 6279 Main Street, East Petersburg, on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM. There will be no viewing. Friends may visit with the family at the church immediately following the memorial service on Saturday afternoon. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
