Robert O. Graybill, 89, of Manheim, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late H. Roy and Stella Hollinger Graybill. Bob was the husband of the late Dorothy Sing Graybill who died in January of 2003. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bob was employed at Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown and then worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington D.C. for many years until his retirement. Bob was a member of the Manheim American Legion and Manheim V.F.W. and helped to organize the first ambulance association for the Manheim area. He was a member of the Manheim Historical Society. In his early years he loved to go hunting and fishing. Bob was a passionate fan of the Manheim Barons Football Team. He loved to root for all the Philadelphia teams, especially Phillies baseball.

Surviving is a daughter, Beverly L. wife of Michael L. Hollinger of Manheim, a granddaughter, Jennifer L. Hollinger, fiancée of Robert Dyer of Lancaster, a great granddaughter, Molly Dyer, two brothers: Reid husband of Inda Graybill, Richard husband of Jackie Graybill, and a sister, Darlene wife of Harold Mummau all of Manheim. Preceding him in death is a son, Jeffrey Scott Graybill, two brothers: Carl and Donald Graybill.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bob’s memorial service from the Hoffer Auditorium at the Pleasant View Retirement Community 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. Friends may visit with the family at the Hoffer Auditorium on Friday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
