Robert G. “Bob” Mumma, 72, Exeter, and formerly of East Petersburg, took a trip to be with his lord on February 26, 2025.
He was the beloved son of the late Ammon and Edith Mumma, and devoted husband of the late Mary Ellen Mumma.
A 1970 graduate of Hempfield High School, he earned full retirement from Armstrong Flooring Plant. “Bob”, as he was lovingly known to everyone, was a highly skilled angler, an award winning drag racer in his youth, and enjoyed driving his Chevy Nova rather than pushing a Ford. A verbose and engaging storyteller, with a quirky, sharp sense of humor, he loved telling tall tales for people’s amusement, and engaging in political discourse. A rebel rouser and self-avowed “old hippie”, he strongly believed in personal freedom. A friend of the working man, and of oddballs of every like. An everyman, but anything but common. Blue eyed and kind, he will be dearly missed.
Surviving are children: Alicia Mumma, Weston Mumma, and Jesse Mumma; grandchildren: Jason Fritz, Noah Mumma, Samuel Anderson, Sophia Anderson; siblings: Carol Koser, Betty Weaver, Lester Mumma; as well as loving longtime girlfriend, Rocki Finkbiner.
All are invited to Bob’s Celebration of Life Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Bob’s memory to: Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster, P. O. Box 104, Lancaster, PA 17608.
