Robert L. “Bob” Gaugler, 82, of Manheim passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late John and Zelma Pence Gaugler. He was the loving husband of Josephine E. Brown Gaugler and they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in August. Bob retired as a jet shop inspector for the former Pan-Am Airlines after 33 years. He also worked at the Manheim Auto Auction. Bob was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Manheim and he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. His interests included traveling, gardening, car-detailing and he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Susan wife of Mark Heisey of Thompsontown, Beverly wife of John Hickman of Yaphank, New York, a son, David husband of Linda Gaugler of Lancaster, four grandchildren, Alyssa Nuzzi, James, Sharon and Johanna Hickman and a sister, Shirley Noble of Kutztown. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Gaugler and a grandson, Michael Nuzzi.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Bethel Baptist Church, 532 Lebanon Road, Manheim on Saturday, December, 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
