Robert F. "Bud" Gochenaur, 76, of East Petersburg, died following a brief illness on Friday, January 13, 2012 at his home. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Elsie Ludwig Gochenaur. Bud retired in 1997 from Packaging Corporation of America in Lancaster after 30 years. Following retirement he worked as a groundskeeper for Bent Creek Country Club, Lititz. He was the loving husband of the late Coralie L. Pfahler Gochenaur who died in November 2004. A Veteran, Bud proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Bud was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Huntingdon, and was active with the United Methodist Men. Bud was also a member of the Lititz American Legion. He had a life-long passion for fishing and motorcycle riding. His other interests included: wood working, and bird watching. Bud loved spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving is a daughter, Pamela L. Gochenaur of East Petersburg, two sons: Steven L. husband of Kim A. Bauer Gochenaur of Lancaster, Dennis S. husband of Brenda Hammer Gochenaur of Landisville, three grandsons: Alex, Derek and Jared Gochenaur, a brother, Richard Gochenaur of Manheim and a sister, Nancy Morgan of Manheim. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery Penn Township. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
