Robert Donald Long

Robert Donald Long, 54, of Newport, died unexpectedly Sunday March 17, 2013 at his residence. He was the husband of Robin (DeTemple) Long. Born in Marietta, PA he was the only son of the late Donald and Josephine (Neale) Long. Robert was a meat cutter for various stores, last working for Giant Food Store in Newport. He was a graduate of Donegal High School in Mount Joy, was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squad 0177 of Newport, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St., Mount Joy PA on Friday March 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia. There will be a public viewing on Friday at the Buch Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until the time for the services. In lieu of flowers contributions in Robert’s memory may be sent to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster PA 17602.
