Robert A. "Bob" Barnes

Robert A. “Bob” Barnes, 69, of Bainbridge passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 26, 2017. Born in Lancaster he was the son of the late Henry J. and Dorothy Hafley Barnes. Robert was the loving husband of Jane L. Rider Barnes and they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary in December of last year. Bob retired as an electronics technician at RCA, Lancaster. While working for RCA he attained 2 US patents. He attended Reich’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Marietta and volunteered at East Donegal Conoy Christian Food Bank, Maytown. His interests included woodworking, electronics, gardening and he loved to spend time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Barbara Barnes of Mt. Wolf, Jason Barnes of Mount Joy, one granddaughter, Zoe Hostetler and a brother, John R. Barnes of Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Barnes.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Buch Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Camp Hill Cemetery, Mount Joy.
