Richard Fay Hollenbeck

Richard Fay Hollenbeck, 76 of Elizabethtown, PA, passed away April 23, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy, PA following a brief illness complicated by Parkinsons disease. Born in Albion, NY, in 1933, the youngest child of the late Fay and Esther Hollenbeck. Richard was a member of Christ Church, United Church of Christ in Elizabethtown, and a resident of Timber Villa where he served on the board of directors for several years. Retired since 1994, he began his adult life in central New York state and went on to a career in the car rental business, serving in an executive capacity for Hertz Rent-A-Car in Rochester, NY; Denver, CO; Seattle, WA; and finally retiring from Hertz Corporate offices in Park Ridge, NJ, where he was Vice President for domestic franchise operations. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years Wanda (Corwin) Hollenbeck; a son Paul, husband of Linda Hollenbeck of Albion, NY; a daughter Rebecca Hollenbeck of Sherwood, OR; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Lizabeth DeWispelaere and a grandson John DeWispelaere. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service in celebration of Richards life at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 247 S. Market St. Elizabethtown PA on Saturday May 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. There will be a time of visitation with the family immediately following the memorial service.
