Rhoda A. Burkholder, 84, of Manheim passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry B. and Martha Sangrey Oberholtzer. She was the loving wife of Paul A. Burkholder and they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in October of this year. A homemaker, Rhoda worked as a waitress at the Manheim Auto Auction and the former Lyndon Diner, Manheim. She also worked at the former Hamilton Watch Co. Rhoda was a member of Speedwell Heights Brethren In Christ Church, Lititz. Her interests included quilting, gardening and she was a seamstress. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Linda wife of Kenneth Koser and June wife of John "Sid" Achenbach both of Ephrata, six grandchildren, Wesley Koser, Joanna Philpot, Melanie Heck, Jessica Achenbach, Neil Koser and Alison Koser, six great grandchildren, Bradley and Katlyn Heck, Justin, Avery, Aidan, and Kam Koser, three sisters, Verna wife of Eugene Merrick of Wellsville, NY, Jean wife of Marlin Ginder of Manheim, and Mary Anne wife of Robert Gouchnauer of Lancaster, and three brothers, Jay husband of Rhoda Oberholtzer of Lititz, Harry Jr. husband of Dorothy Oberholtzer of East Petersburg, and Charles Oberholtzer of Lititz and Carole Oberholtzer of Mountville, and a sister-in-law, June Oberholtzer of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clair Oberholtzer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Speedwell Heights Brethren In Christ Church, 413 West Brubaker Valley Road, Lititz on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Adam Forry officiating. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM and again at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
