Reba C. Miller

     Reba C. Miller, 101, formerly of Mount Joy, passed away October 14, 2023 at Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz where she resided for the past 20 years.  She was born February 11, 1922 to the late J. Earl and Ruth Mae Shearer Witmer.  She was the wife of the late C. Richard Miller who passed away in 2015 after sharing 71 years of marriage. 

     In 1944, she and Richard started farming in the Mount Joy Area where they hosted many people attending Christian Schools or Mission assignments.  In 1984 after serving numerous years of ministry at Marietta Mennonite Church, they moved to Mobile, AL serving as unit leaders in the EMM Voluntary Service Unit.  After their 5-year assignment they remained in Mobile, AL assisting with church work learning to know and love many people.  In 2003 they moved to Landis Homes, becoming members of Millport Mennonite Church.  Reba loved singing, playing piano, sewing, hooking rugs, and “scrubbies”.

     Reba is survived by a daughter Darlene Guerin, Hammondsport, NY; two sons Clyde Miller, Reading, Keith husband of Lee Ann Miller, Mount Joy; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two sister in-laws Miriam Witmer and Ann Miller, and a close friend Connie Stauffer.  In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Abram and Howard Witmer, and a son in-law Charles Guerin.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Reba’s Celebration of Life Service at Landis Homes, Westview Community Room, 1001E.
