Reba Longenecker Miller, 91, of Lititz, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2019 at Legend of Lititz. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna Weinhold Longenecker. Mrs. Miller was the loving wife of Jay B. Miller. They celebrated their 67th anniversary in May.
A life-long member of Calvary Church, Lancaster, Reba taught Sunday school, served food to the visiting missionaries, helped to prepare weekly bulletins, and sang in the choir. She was employed for 20 years at Farmer’s First Bank and upon retiring, she worked part-time at the Manheim Auto Auction. Reba was a faithful volunteer at Lititz Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, listening to Bible teachers, hymns, and spending time with her family. Reba had the heart of a servant.
In addition to her husband, she will be lovingly missed by her daughter Carol Kuehner, wife of Rick Kuehner, Lititz, and her two sons, James Miller, husband of Elizabeth Miller, California, and Jay Steven Miller, husband of Karen Miller, Lititz; she is also survived by seven grandchildren: Ryan Kuehner, Adam Kuehner, Chris Miller, Libby Foreman, Amie Brown, Danielle Miller-Bumol, Cole Miller, and 14 precious great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ruth wife of Dick Poff, York. Reba was preceded in death by a brother, James Longenecker, and a sister, Nancy Hershey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Reba’s Celebration of Life service in the Chapel at Calvary Church, 1501 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Please use Calvary Chapel entrance. A luncheon will be provided afterwards. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Reba’s memory to the Global Missions Fund at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
