Raymond S. Brubaker, 82, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly at home of natural causes on Sunday, November 4, 2012. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late Levi and Anna Stauffer Brubaker. Raymond was the first custodian for the Lancaster County Farm and Home Center and was employed there for over 38 years. He also operated a farm in East Hempfield Township. Following retirement, he worked part time at the S. Clyde Weaver, Lititz Pike location. Raymond was the loving husband of Ruth E. Buchen Brubaker and they observed their 62nd wedding anniversary in August of this year. He was a member of Erisman Mennonite Church, Manheim. His interests included: hunting and going to the mountains. Raymond had a life-long passion for his family and he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, Ray A. husband of Kathleen Stoltzfus Brubaker of Mount Joy, two daughters: Cheryl wife of Ronald Buser of Thomasville, Lucy M. Brubaker of Lancaster, four grandchildren: Kari Stover, Daryl Harnish, Nolan Harnish, Sara Buser, four great grandchildren: Landon, Andy, Nyleigh, Janelle, a brother, Harold husband of Virginia Brubaker of Manheim, and a sister, Anna wife of J. Mark Martin of Manheim. Preceding him in death is a brother, Glenn Brubaker, and a sister, Vera Frey. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service from the Erisman Mennonite Church, 8 South Erisman Road, Manheim, on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 2:00PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with additional visitation on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
