Raymond McGallicher, 95, formerly of Manheim, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Fairmount Homes, Ephrata. Born in Leacock Township, he was the son of the late Harvey and Bessie Wiker McGallicher. Raymond was the husband of the late, Amelia Shearer McGallicher who died in August 1997. He was a cabinet maker for Jacob Nauman Company, Manheim, previously he drove truck for many years. Raymond was a member of the Mastersonville Brethren In Christ Church and the Mastersonville Fire Company. His interests included hunting and fishing. Raymond was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Surviving is a daughter, Ethel Gochnauer of Millersville, three sons: Marvin S. husband of Edna Stoltzfus McGallicher of Carmichaels, Merle J. husband of Carol Harnish McGallicher of Lancaster, Dale husband of Sara K. Beiler McGallicher of New Holland, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are six brothers: Isaiah, Harold, Robert, Harvey, George, Roy, and four sisters, Susan, Lily, Margaret, and Bert.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Mastersonville Brethren In Christ Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a public viewing Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
