Raymond L. Moyer, 87, of Manheim passed away at home on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Born in Rapho Township, he was the son of the late Oliver L. and Fannie S. Wenger Moyer. He was the loving husband of Arlene Kissinger Moyer and they celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in April of this year. Raymond retired after thirty four years as a welder for the Fuller Company, Manheim. He also worked at the Susquehanna Association for the Blind, Lancaster as a supervisor for twenty three years. Raymond proudly served in the US Navy during WW II where he received several medals and ribbons. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim. He was also a lifetime member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956, Manheim American Legion Post 0419, Navy Club of Lancaster, Ship 166 and the Germania Band Club, Manheim. His interests included flower gardening and stamp collecting. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Teresa M. VanValkenburgh of Lancaster, Karen A. wife of William R. See of Ephrata, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two sisters, Anna M. Moyer and Dorothy wife of Glenn Heffner both of Manheim. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, PA on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 5:00 PM with Pastor Melinda L. McKonly officiating. Interment is private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
