Raymond E. “Butch” Strother, Jr., 57, of Mount Joy, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. He was the husband of Diane (Wolf) Strother. Born in Lycoming Co., he was the son of the late, Raymond E. Sr. and June (Graham) Strother. Butch was part owner of Next Generation Composites Inc. of Lancaster and worked for the former Modern Classics as a mechanic. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He was a lifetime member of AmVets of Lancaster, enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, fishing, yard work and cooking. He attended LCBC of Manheim.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Jereme husband of Amanda Strother of Willow Street, Scott Strother of Mount Joy, a daughter, Tina wife of Mark Sanchez of Lancaster, nine grandchildren, one great grandson, and three sisters, Bonnie wife of Edward Stevens of Landisville, Sonja wife of Edwin Cintron of Lancaster and Nora Rivera of Lancaster.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM. There will be a visitation with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
