Raymond C. “Pete” Clark, 89, of Mount Joy, died peacefully, Tuesday October 2, 2018. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Raymond C. Clark. and Mary (Rhen) Kendig. He was the loving husband of Vera (Jackson) Clark, and they observed their 65th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2018. “Pete” as he was affectionately known, was a printer for the Lebanon Daily News before retiring in 1988. Pete was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Middletown High School, and after high school he played the saxophone, clarinet, and oboe in the “Howard Dale Band”. Pete was known to always have a song in his head, enjoyed traveling to the Hollywood Casino, and loved being with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife Vera is a daughter Kathy, wife of Jay Bankert, Mount Joy; a sister Judy Libhart, Mount Joy; a granddaughter Jennifer, wife of David Ishler, Neffsville; and two grandchildren Austin and Sierra Ishler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend “Pete’s” memorial service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St., Mount Joy, on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
